Where do you take your dog to be groomed and what is the cost?

denine at golden acres boarding kennel. she is fantastic with my maltese dog. have been going to her for 4 years. $45.00 and worth every penny. my dog loves her.

Love Sandy!! Affordable and in the city. She’s also accepting new clients right now. I enjoy that she also runs a daycare for our fur-babies so they can play and socialize instead of staying in a crate or kennel.

What is affordable? What does she charge

My dogs go there. Reasonably priced and she is fantastic with my dogs. Love her. I took my dogs to Sandy at Paws and while they did very well there and I liked the cut I found her to be a little expensive for me. I have more than one dog I have to consider cost. Golden Acres is in price range.

Would love to have people post prices

It is hard for me to post prices because I find it depends on how much work there is on the dog. For the youngest who doesn't require a full "cut" a trim and nails I have paid $20-30. My older require a cut, face, feet and bottom shaved. This is $40-45 at Golden Acres. Both of these services include bath and brush of course.  
I believe it was closer to $60 with Sandy for full cut.

What are the hours like at these places. I work Mon-Friday 7:30-5 and am not able to leave at all during those hours. Hubby starts at 8. I am guessing hours are going to be my next challenge

I have dropped my dogs off before work at 8. I am not sure what pick up times are like so I won't speak to that. Personal experience for me was I worked until 4 and sometimes didn't get there until 4:30. This worked for them. Best advice would be to call anyone you are interested in going to and ask questions. They can probably answer better than anyone here. Good luck.

Sandy charges a bit more because i:ncluded is also the daycare fee. That’s what sells her for us. My dogs aren’t pent up in a cage all day. They can lounge on the couches with other dogs or play outside. To me, it’s worth it knowing I don’t have to rush somewhere in the middle of the day or that my dog is not having a good experience at their grooming appointment. Nails are $10 with Sandy, $15 for nails and feet cleaned up on the spot. My beagle is $50ish for a bath, blowout, and hygienic groom with nails and feet done. Plus... she gets to socialize and relax the rest of he day.

Thanks that’s good to know. I never really thought about having to be kennelled all day so that totally makes sense that there is more expense for daycare.  
 
My girl gets her last round of puppy shots today so my next step is to find a groomer. I would love my girl to get some socializing and playtime in with her haircut

The first couple time I took my 75 pound girl there I was impressed. The third time : not so much. Just under $100 plus tip. Will try Golden Acres next time.

My parents take their dog to missed a bit just outside Miniota. He’s a small shizu cross. $45. We go to lunch at the Chinese restaurant in hamiota while we wait for dog. Loreen is awesome. Also has kennels there.

Hard For groomers to give quotes without having seen or worked with the dog.  
 
A de shed for a lab, or a husky will be different because of their hair coat or even different then a cut for a shih tzu or a standard poodle.

I would just phone groomers up and find out cost! I’m sure they all do their best, if not just mention if your not happy!! Good luck !!
