I am just wondering what it cost to have a small dog put down. I feel sad and heartbroken at the thought but I think it’s best for her.

It will depend on the veterinarian and the size of the dog. If you have a regular vet that you use, you can call them and ask. The mobile vets are quite reasonably priced (Dr Mawer and Dr Bridges), and they will come to your home, which is often less stressful for both the pet and the owner.

Cat cost me $75 at Grand Valley.
Pet mobile vet was $215 for a cat.
In both cases I kept the body for burial so it would be extra for cremation. I cannot remember what I paid to euthanize a larger dog, but a farm call to put a horse down is $200.

If you call your vet you can get an estimate

was cremated a year ago and sent to a place outside of Wpg. can’t remember the name...we paid $80.00 at Wheat City....Sherri was very nice & understanding to us & talked us through the process of having to lay our bichon to rest.

The wrong price at Wheat City...it was $120.00.

When we put our small dog down, it was just over $200 for it along with cremation and the ashes back. We used our vet Grand Valley. The vets are very compassionate towards you and the animal during this time. If you give them or any vet a call, I’m sure they can share that info with you.
