I believe in Manitoba, the hunting areas for these birds is limited (please correct me if I'm wrong) and bag size is one bird per season. And of course, hunting any animal within city limits is prohibited. I was lucky enough to sample some of this game. It's wonderful! "
There are lots of wild turkeys in Southern Manitoba ... Primarily SW Manitoba. There is a spring and a fall season and you are allowed 1 turkey a year, not per season. Also the rules vary for each season, so people who plan to hunt wild turkeys they need to read the hunting guide and familiarize themselves.
The fall season opened yesterday!
I agree, the meat is great!
