Thank you to everyone who stopped traffic for this dog and managed to catch it before it was hit. You all cared more for this dog than the owner did.  
 
The owner went into Husky and dropped his dog's leash on the ground before going into the store, leaving his dog outside unsecured. Naturally, his dog went roaming. Not only did he put his dog at risk, he put traffic at risk while trying to stop for his dog.  
 
If he cares even a little bit for his dog, I hope he learned a lesson from this. No matter how well trained your dog is, it is still a dog and needs our protection as owners. Secure your dog next time!!!!!  
It's not fair for the dog to have to pay for your stupidity.  
 
Luckily the dog was OK this time. Next time he may not be as lucky.

For watching all of this action and do nothing but slandering the owner on public media with your side of the story. Maybe there is more to the story than you are informing us. It's good to hear that the dog is safe with his owner.

My husband witnessed the guy INTENTIONALLY drop the leash and walk into the store. Unfortunately, my husband is less confrontational about these things than I am and he thought the guy may have had a reason for doing this?? (well trained dog?)  
 
Not only would i have secured the dog, called Animal Control and reported him, I would have given him a tongue lashing if I had been there.  
 
It is not slander if it is true. More to the story? He intentionally left his dog unsecured and shortly later someone ran into the store to tell him his dog was in the intersection?  
 
I just hope the guy learned a lesson and will not put his dog in danger again. If a little shame on public media helps him know what he did was wrong, I don't feel bad about doing it.
