I know this topic sees a fair bit of traffic, but earlier today I found a large pile of dog crap alongside the 34th St. walking path. up close to Richmond ave. A disposal side and bag dispenser within 50 feet. It was probably deposited there early in the morning when there wasn't many folks around. Maybe it was too cold out to deal with it properly?  
 
I know many responsible pet owners that would never leave a mess like that behind, regardless of the situation. I want to thank those responsible pet owners for cleaning up after their pets. The ones that don't ... what I'd like to say, I shouldn't probably say here.

Totally agree with you. So here's my guessamate, and only a guess in my situation.  
Down my back lane, further to the neighbour,s yard my son says "did u accidently throw that garbage bag there when he dropped me off from grocery shopping. NO, not in the lease. So proceed to strole over there to pick it up to put in the garbage. Well, it was wripped opened, clearly doubled bagged in a plastic grocery bag. Oh my it was full of poop.  
We get a some peeps checking our bins in our back lanes, so my thought was they thot something good would be in it ( only a guess) and proceeded to open it, quite the surprise they got. Closest place just to drop  
it was across my back lane.  
 
Went in the house to grab some disposible gloves, tied it back up and YES dumped it in the garbage bin along with my gloves... As it was our garbage day.  
That is the only incident I've come across.  
Cuz as you mentioned, no responsible pet owner would do that and I believe that.

I’ve noticed this mess more and very recently while walking my dog. I am seeing a lot of dog waste that owners have not picked up. I’ve not seen anyone leaving it but it’s happening. It isn’t that hard for owners to carry a roll of waste bags, pick up after their pet, take it home and put it in their garbage. Lazy owners make the rest of us look bad and create a health hazard.

i live near tracey st in the south end down from Patricia. My feeling is the suspect lazys are letting their dogs out when its dark to do the deed and not pick it up. I cant say forsure , but it seems the condos on that street have a pile of animals. It pisses me off when we go for a walk and the path is covered with dog shit. Pathetic.....Id be embarrassed if I was these dog owners.

I was walking my dog the other day and he did his business, I picked it up and because it was garbage day there was a few empty dumpsters still out on the street. So I placed my bag in one and was walking away when a woman came out of her home and told me not to ever do that again. Geez ..... how to you win?

You could just take it home with you.
