It is already banned for cosmetic reasons by the veterinary colleges in British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, PEI, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and New Brunswick, in addition to Manitoba.
Breeders in Manitoba are still permitted to dock tails.
