I heard geese, but didn't see them.
The starlings that nest in my wall are back too!

I saw 3 geese the other day on Richmond west! They were standing in a heard of about 15 deer!

Just outside of Neepawa on Thursday evening we saw a field with several dozen geese and a little while later a small group of crows.
We've had a small flock of redpolls at our feeder this week as well (I don't usually think of these as spring birds as we often have them during the winter but this year we didn't).

I saw a Mourning Dove in our yard, and a Kestrel on the wire yesterday. Also a Meadow Lark earlier this week!

We just finally saw our first robin yesterday, followed by juncos and red winged blackbirds. This morning I can hear a mourning dove for the first time.

Has anyone seen yellow headed blackbirds yet? Do they usually come back the same time as the red winged or a little later?

I haven't seen any yellow headed blackbirds, just the red winged.

The amount of birds fluttering across my yard and singing a tune is insane, I was just outside and tried to pinpoint a single solitary track but its literally a wall of sound.

But thankfully not annoying like a murder of crows squawking

Goose sitting on round bale with 5 eggs several days ago already.

Wow, that's early! I won't usually see them in our yard until mid May but I'll be watching now

Yes, I agree it's super early! I was at a family member's farm, and was shocked! They said they saw them come back to the barn where they nest, on Thursday!

I don't know when they came back but I saw my first turkey vulture today.
Not the most pleasant looking birds but I love watching them fly.

Yesterday as well my husband saw 6 turkey vultures as well west of Brandon.
I love how they guide, very interesting birds.
