Okay, so most of us talk to our pets. I'm curious, do you talk "baby-talk", use complete sentences like you are talking to another person or use simple sentences ex. "Go walk"?  
 
I talk to my dog as if she was a person. I ask her if she would like breakfast, if she needs to go outside, etc. I don't actually think she understands most of it. I believe dogs mostly react to tone of voice and recognize a few words. But I think she doesn't mind me chatting to her. And it's nice to have someone to talk to who hangs on your every word, even though I know she's just waiting for a mention of walkies and/or treats. Even when she's misbehaving, I still talk to her in complete sentences, not just "Bad Dog!"  
 
So what about you? Or do you think I'm a nut?
