Positive thread on Animal Rescue & welfare

In honour of Shahna Rice (founder of Funds for Furry Freinds), who left us one year ago today, let’s share some positive stories about rescues.
Shahna devoted her life to helping animals, and inspired many others with the passion and devotion she had for her cause.
Be they stories about organizations that we support and admire, animals that we have adopted or saved, or the specifics of what you personally do to support them lets share our positive thoughts and experiences as a tribute to Shauna.
I’ll start...The video link below gives a wonderful example of some the courageous and amazing work that some of these people do. It is of a special needs dog that many would have written off as useless, or determined that it would not be able to live a happy life and thus should be destroyed. I don’t know, let me know what you think, Riddle looks pretty happy to me.

(sorry is the link doesn’t work, never actually tried this before...:-), just copy & paste the ULR into your browser if it doesn’t...)
The amazing lady that rescued this dog, and courageously took on this challenge is Sally Hull. She was originally inspired by Shahna and started her own rescue organization. One of my dogs comes from her rescue.
