Where to take your dog! (pet sitting)

We are going away for a few weeks soon, and was wondering where a good place is to take your beloved dog.
I couldn't leave him with just anyone, and it would have to be a place where he gets lots of attention, and could run around with other dogs. He loves to play.
I couldn't bear the thought of leaving him in a kennel for that long. He is a large breed dog and needs his exercise, and the thought of him being cooped up for that long makes me upset and stresses me out!
Does anyone have any ideas?
