I am sorry, this is just a very very horrible topic for me especially looking at the pet ads on sites.  
Home needed for great dog, great with children.... Reasons, inherited another dog.... Food budget to high now! SERIOUSLY, I suppose you shoould keep the original one and pass on the inheritance, or better yet, maybe ask for donations to feed this wonderful creature which your now handing over to some stranger.  
 
Oh Im moving and can't take him with, 1 1/2 years old. Suppose you should have thought about that before obtaining another life into your home.  
I am uncertain if anyone knows how tramatic is can be for an animal to be placed in a new home. Sometimes these great wonderful caring 4 legged friends are scared, and defensive, in a strange place and more then likely wondering when they get to go back to their real home!  
 
I know multiple people who have gotten animals, ohh so cute when they are babies, but when they grow up not so cute anymore, novelty wears off and they are then transferred to another home. Dont get me wrong, its a great thing that you want them to goto a loving home, OBVIOUSLY your soon to be old pet wants the same.  
 
Why can't people accept responsibility for their own actions and care for the lives they bring home? Having a pet, regardless of type is like a child, you wouldn't just look for a loving home for your 2 year old would you?  
 
I hope you all indeed find great homes for these pets, some of you aren't deserving!
