I just got a new kitten over the long weekend and I'm trying to introduce her to my existing dogs. The one is really good with her although she follows her everywhere. The other dog is a different story. He is way to "excited" and a little bit nippy. I've had them separated all weekend with the kitty in her safe room that I made up for her. He is a little calmer when I bring them together.  
 
From what I read on the internet is to keep them separated until they are good with each other. Does anyone else have any experience with this and what worked for them?  
 
My dogs have always been around cats and really good so I'm at a loss about this. Our Cat just passed away and they were fine with her.
