Looking to start dog park committee

This comitie would consist of a few people from each area of town who frequent the dog parks and hear what our fellow dog owners have to say and would like to see at our dog parks. They would then pass this info on during comtie meetings . The comitie would also be responsible for seeking out possible donars of matirieals any permits threw the city that may be required and set up fundraisers to raise money to help maintain the parks to a level all dog owners can be happy with and be proud to have if anyone's interested in setting something like this up please let me know and we can start getting something set up.

I'd be curious to know if there is an interest in this and if the committee would have any authority to make changes.

Possibly this thread could be used to discuss what issues need to be addressed. Then those interested can get together.

The idea is

To have a few people that are regulars in the parks close to them. So 2 or 3 people that attend the park on park ave just west of 26th, a few from the Vic east park and so on. As a group we would approach the city to have changes done to the park. Either by volunteer time to help make the changes, or if need be hire someone to come in to make changes. The group would also be in charge of holding planing fundraisers to help purches new items for dog parks. We would also post public discution from dog owners outside the group and would welcome ideas and suggestions they would like to see . Not everything would be able to be done mind you anything would still have to be city approved and of course safe for our fur baby's and their owners
