We recently dealt with one dog stopping eating when our other dog passed away. We bought and tried many different foods, some opened and some not. Also got a new puppy and the same for her. Looking for options as to where you can donate food and new toys etc? Also do any places want opened food or maybe that's too much of a risk I guess. I will call the pound and humane society too, but maybe people have personal experience they could share. Or maybe food banks for people like these donations for pet owners, or any other shelters. Also in wpg a shelter I like that depends on donations actively tells the public what they need, such as paper towels, litter etc and it makes for a nice place to donate things as a group or individual. Thanks!

I have dropped off dog food at Escape Day Spa, for Funds for Furry Friends.

We too have lost our pet dog. He was and old guy. We have a another dog that has since lessened his intake of food quite a bit. I haven't had to buy food for him yet and its been over 2 weeks since we lost our friend. Both dogs were close and this one would wait for the other to eat first before eating anything himself. I have been giving him raw meat as a treat and just to know that he is eating something. But am concerned for him as well. I hope he gets his appetite back soon.

You can drop off donations for Funds For Furry Friends at Janzen's Paint and Decorating!!! They accept any brand of food or toys and such!

Great idea on FFFF, great group! And cmore, it took our dog a good month to start eating more normally. We got the puppy another month later and it's helped a lot.

I know will give people with pets some pet food in their hamper if they need it if they have it to give.. I'm sure they will take anything.. That's what I would do
