I'm going to be working out of town and will be gone for 9 hours per day. I'm not sure what to do with my dogs (doggy daycare) isn't financially feasable. I was thinking about the option of a doggy door...looking for any information about them. Thanks

I have contemplated installing a doggy-door in my home for extended periods of time away, but I have wondered how it would fair in the winter and also how it would affect resale value of the home. I would be interesting to see if somebody who has one, is able to clarify on those thing. Good Luck with your questions.

try going to the second hand building material store and buying a used door (same size). Put doggy door in it and just switch doors when needed. that way during winter you can have the solid door in and just use the door with the doggy door when its needed.
