Why do people say their puppies are registered when they're not? I've seen a few ads ... Some charge too much money too. What do you think? I'm all for getting a dog if it's the right price and specific breed you want and I'm all for adoption too. We all have our own opinions

Everyone can do what they want with regards to getting a puppy. Personally, I would always go with a rescue dog if possible from the Humane Society, FFFF or Brandon Pound first. Then I would get it spayed or neutered so we don't have so many dogs/cats looking for homes.

Its like the price of anything what ever the market will pay,and with the amount of fly by nihgt sellers and people that just dont know what they are doing its buyer beware, but I dont think its somthing that should be purchased only on price, you should be looking for a reputable breeder selling healthy animals and if they are reputable they probably arnt going to bullshit you on what you are buying, you always hear the horror story's of people buying sick poorly bread pets and costing them huge vet bills, if you are finding sellers that are not up front about what they have Id steer clear

Some people may not realize this, but it is actually ILLEGAL to call a dog/ puppy 'purebred' or 'pure breed' if it is not registered with the CKC or AKC. If someone is advertising a pet as such, and the pet is not registered, please use the 'report this ad' tab to report it to Adam.  
As for the cost of a purebred, registered dog/ puppy, most reputable breeders who breed and sell dogs/ puppies are NOT doing so to make a profit. My sister sold a litter of purebred, CKC registered puppies for $1000-1200 each and did not make ANY profit, in fact probably lost some money. Stud fees, transportation of the bitch to the stud, veterinary fees for the bitch, food, veterinary costs for the puppies including tattoos, vaccinations, exams, registration fees, etc all add up.  
I also much prefer rescuing pets as adults - I know exactly what I am getting as far as size and color, personality, house training, and vaccinations/ spay/ neuter/ exams are done by the rescue, etc.

the Olde Boston Bulldogge is not a registered breed, just like the Olde English Bulldogge is not (we have one - our breeder was honest with us! ) people will think price = authenticity, unfortunately. My, beef ( for what it's worth - the "no longer have time for" and other excuses. Notice this happens when puppy is around 8-10 months and past the 'cute' stage and into the 'teenager' phase? Also watch for the increase in 'no time for' ads in about 4-10 weeks when all of those Christmas puppies hit the reality phase!

Wow that is a lot of money! If you are saying they are not registered, why is the owner saying they are? Maybe the owner can explain. I just googled and it is a mixed breed (boston terrier and bulldog) to be fair, it is not recognized by CKC

and let them have puppies? Then charge a couple of hundred bucks for a pup? Just a way for people to make money, imo! The most we ever paid for a dog was 17 bucks at the pound a couple of years ago, otherwise we got pups for free.

dogs are mutts. Plain and simple. To each there own if they want to pay for mutts.

I would never pay $1800 for a mixed breed ... No thank u
