With the ebrandon classified ads on selling cats with a specific breed well how can I tell if it is pure breed (siamese, Himalyin, or ragdol, etc.)not just a cat looking like a real breed. Reading at their ad there is no mentioning about certificate papers. For dogs you do but is there no papers required on breed cats.  
I do not want pay $200 and up for a cat that isn't really a entire breed mostly the look with mixture of breed in it.

Yes, in order to call any animal 'purebred' or 'purebreed', the animal MUST be registered with the appropriate organization. For cats, that would generally be TICA or CFA. A seller can NOT legally call a pet 'pure breed' unless it is registered. Generally a registered pet will be much more than $200, often up to and over $1000. For any pet other than a registered one, you take your chances.

Papers are available to cat breeders. Backyard breeders just choose not to get them the same as backyard puppy breeders. If you want a purebred cat goto an ethical breeder that has the pedigree papers. Other then that there's no way to know what you're getting. It's the same for cat's as it is dogs that it's illegal to sell them as purebred without papers (but almost no one follows this).

Just message the seller and ask. Ask if they have registration papers for the cat, which would prove that it is pure bred.  
 
I'm guessing at a price like $200 that it is not a pure bred, or even if it is, there would be no health guarantee's, etc. Most pure bred animals are much more costly than that.

thank you to answer to my question. So would you pay for a cat that isn't purebreed $100-$500. Is it a stupid waste of question asking you what reason pay for fake identity (if proper word to say)? Not sure if makes sense to pay then or I guess it is only a choice: pay high price for purebred or pay half for half breed.

That's totally up to you. If you want a pure bred cat that comes with proper registration, etc., then you will need to do your research and find a reputable breeder, and expect to pay probably much much more.  
If you are just wanting a cat, and do not care if it is pure or mixed breed, then look on ebrandon, or go to the humane society. It will be much lesser cost.  
 
When we got our dog, we wanted a pure bred, that came with all the papers, and health guarantee. We wanted the knowledge that our pet was coming from a reputable, and safe breeder. We payed a lot for him, but it's been very worth it. We wanted a certain breed for a reason, not just a dog that looked like a certain breed.
