Is it a stupid waste of question asking you what reason pay for fake identity (if proper word to say)? Not sure if makes sense to pay then or I guess it is only a choice: pay high price for purebred or pay half for half breed.

That's totally up to you. If you want a pure bred cat that comes with proper registration, etc., then you will need to do your research and find a reputable breeder, and expect to pay probably much much more.
If you are just wanting a cat, and do not care if it is pure or mixed breed, then look on ebrandon, or go to the humane society. It will be much lesser cost.
When we got our dog, we wanted a pure bred, that came with all the papers, and health guarantee. We wanted the knowledge that our pet was coming from a reputable, and safe breeder. We payed a lot for him, but it's been very worth it. We wanted a certain breed for a reason, not just a dog that looked like a certain breed.
