Anyone use the round cat litter box do you & your cat like it ?

I have the litter robot. Amazing piece of equipment. Never scoop a poop again in your life. With two cats once a week I dump the box in the garbage and fill it with little. Cats love it

We are on our second litter robot, the first one lasted seven years - not too shabby at all for a motorized litter box.  
 
I know it costs almost $400 but as I say, we have had great success with it, and what I love about it is you do not have to buy special "name brand" or brand specific liners for the tray. We have found three or four small kitchen garbage bags that fit it well.  
 
The cats seem to like it, but my old boy is 16 years old and has some trouble getting in to it all the time now, so we have to have a plain box next to it for days he is feeling "less than energetic"

Where did you guys buy the litter robot, I've been looking around for a while now, and I can't find it for under $550

We ordered both of ours online as the first time no one in the province even sold them, and the second time Petland was the only one and they wanted almost $600 for it.  
 
Could not honestly tell you where we got them, it has been a few years since we bought our second one. Not sure how the bad Can dollar will effect the price now either.

There something different about a round litter box? Never heard of it.

What do you mean round litter box? Can you send a link? Is it just round and hooded? What's so special about it.

Yes- round and hooded and you roll it from side to side and the litter goes into a scoop n the side of the box and u empty it -

I ordered the litter robot from the website, wasn't cheap but is worth every penny

to use that cleaning the litter box is one of the chores my 10 year old does

It is basically an automatic litter sifter. All you do is hose it off once or twice a year and every week empty the tray.  
 
What I like about these ones as opposed to the flat sifting styles is there is a bigger tray (I have two cats and still only empty it once a week) and the tray not only takes regular kitchen bags or tray liners but also has a charcoal filter so it keeps the smell WAY DOWN.  
 
Other ones you have to buy their special plastic baggies which are really expensive.

We had one. It's not that great. The wet poop can get stuck in the grate. And the little poop tray can get messy and clogged up too. Our cat had bladder/bowel issues so he had a lot of soft/wet business that made a real mess of this box. Was gross to take apart and would have to take it outside and hose it out and try to clean the grates. Easier to just use a regular box and scoop it out often.

I agree. Ours got clogged, had to get those bags. While we have two cats, I clean the boxes everyday, which takes 2 minutes and only have to take the bags to the dump once a week. We sold ours and now can afford high quality cat food for our babies!
