Fish tank crack repair

    Fish tank crack repair

    Does anyone know where to take a fish tank to have a crack repaired? I have a new (to me) fish tank with a small (couple inches) crack on the back corner. I haven't filled it to see if it holds water yet but suspect I should get it repaired even if it does so the pressure doesn't eventually break it. Any ideas on who can do this type of repair or who to call?

    Thanks, I did contact the pet stores and they didn't know of anyone who could fix a fish tank. They do sell the aquarium silicon which can be used to fill the crack myself. I'm a little nervous about this though as I don't want to come home one day with an exploded tank.  
     
    Anybody ever used the aquarium silicone that can attest to how it works?

    what size the tank is. Anything bigger than a 20 gallon, I personally wouldn't trust it. Although you said the crack is only a couple inches long so if it was going to leak the crack likely would get longer first and hopefully give you enough time to empty some water. cheers

    It's a 30 gallon, so yeah a little iffy. I will think it through. Thanks for your help!
