Just wondering whey there is such a difference in mileage charges from clinic to clinic.  
Called a couple today and one was about 2.50 per mile and the other was 3.00 per km. Sure pays to call around.

I just call out the vet I want-I don't call around and compare mileage charges then have the cheapest vet come out. There is 1 vet I refuse to use so cheaper mileage or not I would never call her.

You are lucky that you have 2 different vets that will come to your place if you can complain about mileage. If you don't have facilities they won't come and can't blame them taking a chance of getting hurt which would hurt their business and the rest of their clients  
 
New year's eve a couple of years ago we had a calving problem. It was 2 weeks early so truck was not plugged in and 35 below so truck wouldn't start. Our regular vet was just leaving Winnipeg when we called and said try to get someone else otherwise he would be home in 2 1/2 hours. We called 3 different vets and all were bring the cow in to the clinic. We waited for our regular vet to make the trip to the farm 2 1/2 hours like he said.
