    Which hand held vacuum do you find best for picking up cat litter ?

    I bought an inexpensive cat litter tracking mat at the Dollar store to put in front of the litter box to reduce tracking. Otherwise, just light sweeping/dustpan daily with a regular soft broom. Depending on the type of cat litter, it could be a vacuum killer, as some litter resembles small pebbles.

    I have ruined vacuums picking up cat litter. I suggest using a small cheap shop vac.

    Seriously though, we've had the same Dyson for about 8 years and it pulls up litter like nobody's business. I've also seen it suck up cat hair from about a foot away on bare floor. I'd love to see what the Dyson animal series could do!
