Hi. I'm looking for an apple head chihuahua. A registered purebred is out in Calgary for $900. With 3 year warranty. Please don't tell me to rescue. Our family already has, twice. One cat: who is now 16 , one dog: almost 1 year. One from humane society, other from FFFF. Chihuahuas are a lot of work as it is so I'd really appreciate the help and keep rude comments to yourselves. Thank you

Don't know about breeders but there are 2 apple head puppies for sale on ebrandon; registered too.

The so called "registered" chihuahuas... I checked into it. They either are or aren't. You have to PAY the money to have them registered. Not good breeders. I wouldn't recommend them

I know a lady in dauphin who breeds purebred ones but I don't believe they are registered. I believe that registering only helps if your breeding other wise it's just another expense.

Not being rude, just passing along some info for educational purposes. It is actually against the law to use the word ''''purebred'''' or the words ''''pure breed'''' unless a dog or puppy is registered with the CKC or AKC. And it is also illegal to charge more for a puppy that is registered vs one that is not: if a breeder is doing this, they need to be reported to the CKC. $900 is actually pretty reasonable for a CKC registered dog.  
 
Edited to add: Another source of finding a pup is a breed club. There is a Chihuahua Club of Canada - they can probably point you in the direction of a reputable breeder.

Do you know how I can reach this breeder? As for purebreds being illegal unless they are registered, I know this. The Brandon sun won't post purebred unless they ARE registered. However, I think people charge whatever they want for unregistered dogs because they can, and people will buy them despite the high prices.
