The plans will come right up to my property line giving me only 31/2 feet on the south to put snow. I was told to put the snow on the boulevard but, the boulevard will be filled in by the grader and also the sidewalk clearing, if they clear it. I will only be able to park a small vehicle in my driveway, a pickup would not fit if I leave room from the house to get to the side yard to take my dog out. Why have no public meetings about this? I am sure everyone has questions. I will be writing a letter to the Mayor about my concerns. Remember folks we are not allowed to put snow or park on sidewalks. Alot of trees will be killed as roots damaged will weaken them. " |

A 9 foot wide sidewalk on 9th Street? I''m not sure Los Angeles or New York City has sidewalks this wide and they have many people walking 24-7 in a huge mass.
There are hard working taxpayers all over Brandon that have no sidewalks and manage just fine, so you might want to be happy with what you have.
I''m not sure I understand wanting a massive 9 foot wide sidewalk. That''s huge and would be very expensive for any development, taxpayers or City to absorb on your behalf.
Did you research your snow removal and sidewalk requirements before moving into the area of your choice?
I''m not trying to be disrespectful. Just wondering why people don''t do a bit of research before buying a home in this area if you are now chirping about how the City should do some major infrastructure and this situation now doesn''t suit your needs.
There are also many schools on major routes where kids walk okay down a normal sidewalk. Not one that is 9 feet wide!
Best of luck with the City and your emails.
