Is anyone else wondering when the lane lines will be repainted all over the city?  
 
It’s not so bad during the day but at night it’s super hard to see the lanes.

Not really that big of a deal to me. Lines or no lines I don't have a problem figuring out where the lane is, even at night. Hopefully though when or if they do them they do a better job then the ones they have already put down. Looks like whoever did them was drunk. The ones on 34th are hilarious how crooked they are. There are other wonky ones around town, just can't remember where I saw them. I can't imagine it's the easiest job but maybe get someone that doesn't have the shakes behind the machine!

Every time we come into Brandon we struggle with where the lines are on 18th. I used to live in the city so I should find it easy, yet literally the people in front of you are driving all over it seems. Sometimes it’s two lanes, sometimes it’s three, it’s an absolute nightmare. The city should paint them in the spring and fall in my opinion!

Doesn’t fall under the responsibility of the city to paint the lines, that’s highways

My husband and I have had many a chuckle over the drunken lines all over this city. LOL

I believe that between Victoria and Richmond, 18th St. belongs to the City.

I think they have started now so it will take some time.

I always think about that saying to self:  
"that guy painting the road that day must have been pissed".

what about the painted lines before cross walk  
those are city streets to some cars come past those lines almost into cross walk

I can't understand how in 2018 we still use paint for this.  
 
There isn't some sort of coloured polymer or something similar that would be e:mbedded in the pavement and permanent?

and direct your questions/concerns to the  
City's Director of transportation.The City is responsible for painting lines on 18th St..The Highway's department is responsible for snow removal on 18th St.

The only real permanent markers for lane delineation are reflective markers fastened to the road itself. These really only work in southern climates where snow clearing isn't performed, such as LA, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Miami, etc. Here, they use a rubberized epoxy that has a reflective trait. Remember, theses roads are scraped, brushed, swept and abused. There is no paint on earth that could last forever.

They need to get them painted so we can start complaining how bad Brandon drivers are never obeying signs, lights or lines on the pavement, their getting a free pass not fair.
