Did anyone else get a crazy high water bill this month? Mine is over twice what it normally is - my toilets don't leak - I tested all of them - did rates go up that much?

Mine was too,I couldn’t believe it.

Yes ours was $50 more!!! 41% higher than last time....

Yes! Our bill is normally $120-$130 and it was $250!

Ours was precisely $3 more I think from the last billing period.  
 
It's been hot and dry. Y'all been watering your lawns?  
 
My husband did the math the other day, our sprinkler (regular, oscillating sprinkler) runs at about a cubic meter per hour when we clocked it. I think he said that worked out to be about $3 for an hour. So, if you're running your sprinkler three times a week for an hour each time, that's an extra $9/week just for that.

Wont quite explain what you're seeing on your particular bill, but the latest annual water increase kicked in on July 1. There were also increases on July 1 of last year and July 1, 2016. City's outlined the increases of 2016, 2017 and 2018 at http://brandon.ca/utilities/rates
