They sign it. 600 truckloads of parcels backed up!! That is ridiculous and it’s only going to get worse

Will be interesting to see what the big players do. My buddy who works for Purlolator said that if they don't resolve shipping they will cancel contracts. Not only are you messing with residential deliveries but the big shippers like Amazon, ebay, etc will be looking for options. Cyber Monday and Black friday could already be a bust for store shipments. Piss of the big shippers and they won't have to worry about overtime and mail delivery.

I shop on amazon.ca 90% of the time and have Prime. So I've noticed that anything prime that says it will be here in 2 days, shows up via purolator in 1 day from Ontario and 2 ish from BC - sometimes 1 day.  
 
If it doesn't say get it by (2 days or less) it prob will go CP and it'll take 3-5 days. Anything with the quick Prime delivery times should come Purolator and be there very fast even though Brandon isn't a major area.

it was more negotiations and if nothing settled go to arbritration. plus $1,000 each to every employee for the cooling off stress period of Christmas season.  
 
The union turned it down. While saying on the TV that they don't think their employees can be bought for $1,000 in regards to safety and equality or something.  
 
Again the usual Canada Post union holding Christmas presents hostage so they can have more.  
 
Well here's to you shutting down Santa delivery.

My hubby was a union rep once for his company. The arbitrator told him it was nice to work with someone who had some common sense for once and truly wanted to negotiate not just my way or the highway.  
It looks to me like whoever is the rep for Canada Post is a my way or the highway kind of person. Obviously thinking that forcing the issue will get them what they want. Clearly not concerned about those 600 trucks full of parcels sitting waiting for delivery, the small businesses who are struggling to make a go of it who are waiting for their order. Is this not making things worse for their workers by backlogging mail this badly? Seems like they want to hold us all hostage in an effort to get what they want. Not impressed one bit.
