They should definitely have the garbage cans replaced.  
 
I guess it saved staff from having to go out and clean up, but they probably do have the most litter.

Do you not have a garbage can in your home? Finish your coffee, keep it in your car till you go home, take the empty cup in your home, throw it in the garbage can. Easy peasy, STOP throwing garbage all over the place for others to clean up.

sometimes I finish my coffee while I am at Tim's and it was convenient that they had a garbage to put the cup in, as I always get a "to go" cup. I may be outside finishing it up.

I would stop and pick up garbage before I threw it out. Easy Peasy.

There were garbage cans at every drive-thru food place in town. Then most of them were taken down, possibly due to the fact that some people would shove any filthy garbage in them. Now, there’s only a few places left that still have them.

Why not hand your garbage to the employee when they pass you your purchase. Might make them realize they need to have a garbage by the drive thru.

They won’t accept it. When they first got rid of the ones in virden I tried to give the lady at the window my empty cup and she said they can’t accept garbage. I said then why get rid of the bins outside? She shrugged. It’s not her fault, no point blaming her.

Can I ask why you feel someone else should toss YOUR garbage? You spend enough time in the drive thru line to get your coffee then spend an extra few minutes and find a garbage to put YOUR garbage in. We are all big people and it is not hard to be responsible for yourself. I either toss the cup when I get home/work or find garbage can.

especially when it seems just as easy for many of the coffee drinkers to just toss their cups out the windows on the highway. I pick the litter along my acreage, and Tom Horton's cups are just about the most plentiful of any one type of litter.  
 
Personally, I can't stand the stuff. For the price of two or three cups of their coffee, I can make full pots at home for over a month.

Tim's was sold to burger king not Wendy's. Wendy's is leaps and bounds better than burger king and tim hortons. Tim hortons is right on par with burger king in terms of good tasting food. Sub par should actually be the term. Other than their pastries Tim's warm food imo tastes like a steaming pile of goat chit.

They don't even clean tables between customers, why would they worry about garbage cans outside? I don't know how they get away with it.

You know, I guess it is for everyone's convenience.  
 
 
Look around - McDonalds, A & W, Wal Mart, The Mall, Superstore, Sobey's....they all have garbage cans at their place of business.  
 
It may help the one's (like me) that are not to lazy to properly get rid of my waste. I sure never said, I took my garbage and threw it out, because their was no garbage can. Actually, I do take it home with me. I did like it when they were there, there were times I was finishing up a coffee or had a cup in my car and going threw drive thru could just put it in there.  
 
It is certainly not helping their business for the lazy one's that will just throw it out. It actually should be made mandatory that a business with take out have a garbage.  
 
Many times I see, car guys, motorcycle guys meet up their in the parking lot, have their coffee's...now, where do they put their litter? I am not saying they leave it on the ground, although I have seen mounds of it in certain area's, but I a sure some do.
