No Birds

More probably than not, there's an aerial predator or two about. Keep an eye up for a hawk or shrike or something that thinks that a well fed, grain fed, sparrow, finch or chickadee looks pretty tasty. Hey, they got to eat too. (Ground predators, such as cats, don't chase away the bird feeder birds the way that aerial predators will. Cat around, the birds just go higher in the tree and begin harassing. Hawk around, the potential meals freeze in place and then disappear at earliest convenience.). Your birds will probably be back when the bird-eater has moved on.
