I'm getting into woodworking as a hobby, and am finding that I am quite out of my depth with some most projects. Does anybody know if hobby-level woodworking classes are offered anywhere in Brandon? I know ACC offers full time courses, but I'm looking for a hobbyist course.

The BNRC is organizing a group of people to start up a makerspace. They are currently in the planning stage and hope to have a functioning wood shop by April.  
 
Project and hobby related seminars / classes are typical fair at makerspaces so I bet there will be an opportunity to learn there.  
 
I believe an electronics lab is being put together as well a general crafting / making room is also being put together.  
 
Watch for announcements on the makerspace thread started on this forum .
