ARRIS OR TIVO . Which one do you prefer?

I don't think you have that option anymore. I do want to upgrade, but it isn't my call. The decision is becoming easier because of repeated connection problems with Netflix and the streams for BOB and the Farm keep cutting out. But that would mean setting up our recordings all over again.  
 
Speaking of Tivo: is it possible to watch live TV or recorded streams on a computer or does it require a tablet? I suppose there's always Bluestacks or Nox if I have to.

Watch it on any device that is connected to the home wifi . Or download the show to the device for on the go outside your home .

So I can stream from my Windows laptop? I have it hooked up to a big screen TV. Yeah, I could get another box if I wanted, but this will take up a lot less room.
