Some of us went to warmer climates this year to escape the manitoba freezer for a while. Were did you go.what did you like and dislike about your trip.  
Myself I spent two months in mazatlan.  
Great city with an abundance of things to do if you choose to. Great music,jazz,blues,classic rock, traditional Mexican. Nice beaches, different restaurant every night of you like. Theatre,arts. The list goes on.  
Oh and the people couldn't be more friendly. Back again next year

my week long holiday in Flin Flon - weather was a few degrees "warmer" than Brandon and no wind. Hwy 10 was bare and the best sections of that hwy are in northern Manitoba. Orange Toad restaurant is one of the best coffee shops in the province and Crown Royal is cheaper a few km away at the liquor store in Creighton, SK. I go there for my winter holiday yearly. We did go to Cuba a few years ago in January - we may be in the minority but we hated every day we were there and would never go back.
