I have a child interested in rocks and I’ve been looking for a tumbler or polishing kit. Does anyone know of a local store that sells these? I’ve struck out so far! I know I can order online but thinking there must be a local vendor.

I know there's a specialty rock and gem shop in Souris. Might be a good place to check.

Thanks. I haven’t checked toymasters or michaels, I was just looking at hardware stores.

You can fill a bucket with water and swirl the rocks around in it. That will polish them to an extent. I remember doing that in elementary school.

I believe I still have my daughter’s rock tumbler I can sell you. Out of town right now but will check when I get home Monday.

I got a cheap one on eBay and the motor burned out in weeks. They have to run a long time through various stages of polishing.

Janzen’s on Park. If you are buying new, buy the Thumler’s brand. We’ve used them for many years and they are well built.
