So I'm writing the knowledge test for my class 4 license soon. I was just wondering what sort of information is on it. I've read the professional driver's handbook twice (except for the parts on class 1 and 3 licenses). I was just wondering if they would have questions on gear shifting, traffic signs, etc. or if it was more safety and driving-based.  
 
Additionally, what is the road test like? I know that there is no parallel parking but I was wondering what else is i:ncluded and whether or not I will have to demonstrate a pre-trip inspection. Thanks!

unless they have changed the rules preaty much like taking your class 5 test nothing to worry about

The class 4 road test is exactly the same as class 5 except there is no parallel parking and they are more strict on what you can get wrong. You can do the class 4 in your own personal vehicle. (I took my class 4 less than a year ago) also the knowledge test is pretty similar to the practice test on MPI website. Good luck.

I was also wondering if you or anyone else know of a different way for me to book a road test outside of brandon. The earliest available date for me doesn't work so I'm trying to figure out other options. I may end up driving to Portage but I can't figure out if there is a closer location that also offers the road test.

When I took it, there was literally just 2 questions different from my class 5. The road test was easy too- they just ensured we were doing mirror and shoulder checks. Didn’t even have to parallel park!
