Seeing as there was a thread about radio, I thought I would put this local story out there, that was on CBC and CTV at noon today.

I then checked the local sites and nothing. I checked again sill nothing, but see now the local news has finally put the story out there.

A man faces numerous drug and weapons-related charges after Brandon police raided a home on Monday.

Just seems like everyday, we read more and more hard crime stories in Brandon.

I can only speak for myself, granted I wouldn’t quite call what I’m doing media or news in the traditional sense.
My focus is on just the major crime occurrences and alleged occurrences along with the situations where Police are specifically asking for help that give people a chance to constructively contribute. That’s why I chose today to go with the surveillance IDing call-out specifically and not the particular story you mentioned. There’s a tendency for some in the info biz I think to jump on every story that has the word “meth” or “gun” in it but that’s not the approach I’ve gone with... the Police do such a great job of putting out daily info on these things directly on their own that I think more and more folks are in the habit of checking their releases for the daily work they do to keep us safe at http://police.brandon.ca/media-zone
That doesn’t mean there aren’t stories that come out that would benefit from an alternate perspective and that’s the type of thing I’ll always be on the lookout for if it’s a situation where I feel I can add value!

I too believe legalizing weed was wrong. People like to say weed is not a gateway but it is, it all depends on the person. Just like alcohol, either you can have two beer and leave it or you need to drink the whole dozen.
If that is true what you say about 5 billion illegal weed sales then why isn't law enforcement along with government cracking down on these people who are raking in cash?

Very close in the eleven other months.
Sorry according to the web research London with a population of around 2 million more than New York had 134 murders in 2018. New York had 289.
Edited to add the fact that Winnipeg (pop 700,000) had at least 22 murders in 2018, which is comparatively worse than the London figure.
