Break in last night — server stolen
8/16/2008 at 7:18 PM
I live very close to the University and yesterday I experienced a break-in. The thieve or thieves made off with a very expensive computer server containing all files associated with my business including my design projects for my clients.
I am a graphic designer/web designer and the only progams my server contained are graphic design related.
All have been registered and all totally useless to the thief.
To move this server would have taken a minimum of two individuals as it weighed a lot.
I reported the theft to the Police who proceeded to finger print around the machine's location including the door knob, etc.
I've thought long and hard about this post. I know we have a very youthful group of members here.
We also have an outstanding group of older eBrandon members who are extremely computer literate and work with incredible computer systems.
I am counting on you eBrandon members.
I am revealing the exact theft time August 15 at 2:36:59 AM and the model type: Compaq Proliant 1600.
I am now asking for your help, eBrandon members, to recover it.
I have provided a very basic description of what happened, now I need you to provide me with the name(s) if possible of the individuals(s) who may have done this.
To the thief I make a unique offer: Return my server to me, undamaged with all files intact and not copied and I will ask the Police to stop their search for you.
This is one-off offer to only the thieves. eBrandoner's you may private message me here if you have the information I am seeking.
