I have been trying to call EI for two weeks but I can’t get through. I have also looked for answers online but haven’t been able to find answers.... I am self employed (since sept 2019) but my income was in the negative on my income tax. I have lost income due to covid-19 so I wanted to apply for EI. It says you have to have a certain amount of insurable hours (which I do have from a daycare center I worked at in 2019). My dilemma is if I apply for self employed I can’t put a negative income and if I apply regular hours it says to put my last employers name but I was self employed.... I’m at a loss of what do or if I can do anything

You can apply for ECI... it is for people who are self employed ....the applications will be availabl Monday on the EI website.
