Hi folks, phone rang this morning, i made two calls but now land line phones are dead. I live by 10th street 7/11  
Anyone else having the same problem?

A statement this afternoon from a BellMTS spokesperson:  
 
"Telephone, Internet and TV services were disrupted for some customers in Brandon by widespread power outages as a result of yesterday’s severe storm in southwestern Manitoba. Our crews are replenishing backup battery supplies and generators, working alongside MB Hydro to restore full services as quickly as possible. Customers with any service issues can contact us at 204-225-5687 so we can assist."

So with the phone that is not working we can call you on that number.  
Do they read that which they have written.

for me and I'm sure others as well. However Bell MTS has a online chat you can utilize.

turned out that power outage was not the problem. It was the overhead terminals that got wet and shorted out the phone lines. Internet was fine though.
