I do believe their state of emergency extends till almost the end of the month. Somewhere around the 25th.

No, yesterday there was still a sign up at Chimo Beach launch that no watercraft at all are permitted on the lake. The provincial park is closed until the 16th when it will be re-evaluated.

Province has done an assessment on the dam, will be releasing info this week. Until then, it's a no go.

There is a dozen or so good lakes within a hour of Brandon. Just cause rivers is closed doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use your boat. I got 15 hours on my boat this weekend.

Water levels seem about 0.5m higher than pre-storm levels now. Is boating still not supposed to be happening?

They say there are lots of underwater obstacles that a boat might hit. There were lots of boats and docks etc lost up there. Among other things like trees etc.

it appears as a recomendation, but there appears to be no signs presented at the lake site to tell people , no boating allowed

great , nobody enforcing the hearsay, i think a lot of people have been misinformed by some of these discusions,so lets all get on with life and enjoy our recreation

how is it that some individuals have access to very limited info , while others have to depend on heresay once again,i would hate to be the poor soul that decides everything is good to go when nothing appears to be pubic knowledge, and gets a fine for boating on closed water ways

"Rivers Provincial Park - All campsites will be reopened on Friday, July 31. The beach and boat launch remain closed and all use of Lake Wahtopanah remains suspended at this time. "

guess you haven't been out to Rivers this weekend.... the lake is full of boaters/fishing boats....
