Via a Manitoba Hydro spokesperson:
“An excavator working in the area hit a natural gas line at about 2:30. Gas crews responded and the leak was stopped by 3:00. Crews are now working on permanent repairs, so if you see our staff out in the street we advise slowing down and keeping a safe distance from them so they can complete the work. No outages to other natural gas customers in the area occurred.”
