Got my statement and found a $3.50 "cash advance" charge. The credit card company told me that it was a charge made by the lottery kiosk in addition to the price of the lottery ticket. I did not notice any sign at the kiosk indicating this was the policy and have not been back since (and won't be). Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a sign noting this policy? "
I buy lotto and play games through the online site. I play with several online gambling site and everytime I use my credit card i am charged a 5.00 cash advance fee. They have warnings on the website thought that all transactions will be treated as a cash advance. However, when i use my Visa Debit card through my bank account there is no fee at all. The lotto keyosks are likely set up the same way unfortunately, i wouldn't of thought buying in person would be the same.
