Driving down pacific and other downtown roads a lot this year, i’ve seen more fights than i can count. Even witnessed a stabbing on pacific avenue. I would never, ever stop. Call the police yes, but never stop and involve myself. I’m not risking myself get stabbed with a filthy needle or other o:bject because i intervened in a drug fuelled fight. Which 90% of downtown fights are.

Yes, I can kind of understand not wanting to step in because of the danger aspect of it. I do think that I would at least stop though to call for help or to video it for evidence for the victim to have proof of what happened or to get a picture of the attackers. I’m glad there were people there that did step in and help the injured man.

The woman pictured is 60 years old!! Just crazy!

to stop and try and help is one thing but putting your own life in danger is another. you can even find yourself being charged with aggravated assault if you harm them in any way., we have all witnessed this behavior in some form or another and it is terrifing to know these kind of indivduals even exist, they get arrested and released on a promise to attend court later, ya right, that never happens . these same indiduals are right back on the streets of brandon commiting even more violent crimes. if criminal courts cant stop them .then its time to ban individuals from our community similar to what other municipalies are doing, kick them out.

police have lots of that  
 
and people called 911 but it happened so fast that the helpful bystander had taken the man to hospital instead of waiting for ambulance.  
 
Police got there is time to track down some of the suspects importantly the woman with the knife before she could clean up or get rid of it.  
 
the only one left to arrest is the young man  
 
always think women especially in a group can be nasty fighters when they want to be  
 
Terrible thing to happen,

certain you would not be charged with "aggravated assault" unless other factors came into play. Besides, the defense for said charge would be Defense of Others under the self-defense statute.
