Well if by next spring if we are still in this situation maybe you should consider taking the year off, if you dont put a crop in that would help reduce the spread as well. less trips to town for you, less people you would have to be in contact with. Would be less chances of spreading this virus you seem so worried about. You think nothing of others shutting down their business indefinatley, maybe you should lead by example? The world would get by for a year if a few less people didn't produce a crop. Would help reduce the spread in the long run.

Does this sound ridiculous? For sure it does, so does shutting down an entire provincial, (or even national as you suggest) economy and locking people up again because one area of the province has a problem. If it wasn"t for the media our little corner of the world wouldn"t even know this thing exsisted , but yet our local businesses have suffered since the unnecessary shut down this spring and will do so with another one. (no im not talking about brandon)

A covid positive contact was reported the other day at our hockey rink,If tighter restrictions were in place that wouldn’t have happened.
The first lockdown didn’t bother me. Wearing a mask, hand washing or distancing doesn’t bother me . Doing so is a sign of respect for others. Covid is going to cause the collapse of the economy if left unchecked. Stay home when possible. Stay safe.

Given your proposals much thought but have one more question. What criteria would need to be met in order to lift the national travel restrictions, lockdown and curfew?

Reduced infection rates, deaths and hospitalized patients, more knowledge of the virus and some breakthroughs in treatment and prevention options, because right now those options don’t exist .

Cross-posting an important message that was shared earlier on Youtube by Mayor Chrest re continuing to stay vigilant in the face of this serious virus.
Given that many might see it as quite relevant to a topic not unlike this one, I‘ll let the words in the video be the last in this discussion. It shouldn't be overlooked that alongside emphasizing the importance of diligently practicing fundamentals, the Mayor in messaging throughout the pandemic has stressed the importance of kindness through this process...
