our Hydro is not as expensive here in Manitoba. But you tell someone who heats their home that Hydro is not costly, I think they will disagree with you!

Had the Gas man in and we were talking about gas stove, we need a new one, and he said that even with the carbon tax we should still go with gas as electricity is expensive.

And with our AC running far too much these hot days I can certainly see the difference in our electric bill. And when I do I thank goodness that we have a gas furnace.

Yes I give credit to the PCs for fixing the electric rate at 2.5%. They went above PUB to set the rate at 2.5% for the next three years.

but our kids aren't learning what they need to and some people do not see the problem? Wow!
And whoever says that the scores are low because of the newcomers, most of their kids learn fast and amongst the most intelligent people we've ever known!
Kids need to be taught better. They graduate and get behind a till and they can't even make change!

Under ndp my child never recieved any help or diagnosis or anything for medical but 1 year after change in government and changes made by them then all of a sudden he qualifies for children disability services and is actually getting help and services he should have been getting his whole life.

Bill 64 would be there to prevent schools from not provinding funding and discriminate against disabled children. If this goes through my child wil be able to finish high school and if not the school board and regional school can continue to deny him funding as the province can't make them to do it now. Please provide support for this bill because all kids deserve the education funding and programs without school board and their friend's personal feelings getting involved in small towns.

What may not seem like much money saved to one person may be a great deal to another. Many of us have to scrimp and save every day to survive .
If an individual can pay a little less in taxes they usually take that money and spend it on something that they want or need, maybe some home repairs or whatever. The point is that this generates economic activity and through a ripple effect further economic growth. The net result is that lower taxes levied will ultimately lead to greater tax revenue for government through increased economic activity. Hopefully a prudent government will then take that revenue and allocate it wisely improving services available and generating even more economic activity.
In the past there has been uncontrolled government spending and this is no longer sustainable , it all has to be paid off in the end and budgets must balance.

What they need to do is stop passing them so they can "be with their friends" if you do not complete the grade or pass you have to repeat it or you do not graduate. Don't just pass them because you feel for them, if they are not ready, they are not ready. You are getting them ready for the real world, and these are the people who are going to look after us..

The damage done to a child by holding them back and punishing them for failing is far more damaging than them being a little behind on algebra.

And this is the reason that so many young people are unemployable , have little basic knowledge and enter the work force with a bad attitude as if they are entitled to receive a pay cheque. The education system has failed them by not teaching them properly (a curriculum issue) and not pushing them hard enough to achieve the best of their ability.

I have tried looking things up on trusty google but I’m not really sure I have an answer. But what happens to all the Bills/ laws being passed right now that he resigned ? What about the lawsuits against the province for the not allowing the growing of certain 420 plants?

the bills will still probably be going forward. Every one thinks the bills are Pallisters alone, they are the bills of the Conservative party.

As for the growing of cannabis plants at home (4) I imagine it's still before the court.
I was right within earshot of Premier Pallister telling that owner of Growers and Smokers to challenge the law in court.
As for smoking cannabis why is it being suggested "safe consumption sites for cannabis consumption'? isn't the safest place to toke up right in your own home that you actually own?
