SO ALL STAFF IN BRANDON SCHOOL DIVISION MUST BE FULLY VACANATED , OR UNDER GO WEEKLY TESTING TO CONTUNUING WORKING.  
BUT STUDENTS 12 AND OLDER DO NOT NEED TO BE VACANATED TO ATTEND SCHOOL .  
Protect the children who in most cases are less at risk But don't protect the adults who are at higher risk.

Because schools must be accessible for all.

Also, there are children in that age range that cannot be vaccinated because their parents won't consent etc.  
 
While children ages 16+ can consent to medical procedures in MB, and kids 12-15 can consent in certain circumstances, if the parents are forbidding/not facilitating it they effectively don't have access to it.

Then all those individuals or students should have to submit to weekly testing just like the staff.

Really ! get vaccinated just like the staff has to or submit to weekly testing then all are welcome .Or parents that are unwilling keep the kids at home for remote learning. Come on big scary Covid we all should be doing our part right.

Children have a right to have equal access to education.  
For the teachers and staff it is their choice to be in that profession, so they must do what is required of them.

Get vaccinated or don’t work. It’s not hard to do the right thing.

So what you’re saying the health of the students and the staff are not equally important ,and correct every student is entitled to an education .so again explain to me why students 12 and above who are not vaccinated do not have to submit to weekly testing or get vaccinated . also as for staff choosing their place of employment absolutely correct they they chose to work in the education system in a contract prior to Covid where there was no mandatory vaccinations or weekly testing.  
But again for those of you who aren’t getting the big picture here why do students 12 and above do not have to submit to weekly testing or get fully vaccinated. The staffs health is not as important come on really.

As a teacher, I can guarantee you there isn't anyone in the building that wants kids to miss out on school because their parents won't vaccinate them, nor would we demand they be subjected to weekly testing. I'm absolutely on board with excluding unvaccinated adults from social privileges, but keeping kids from school is a whole other story.

So what you’re saying is then the safety of the staff is not important as the safety of the children. Because I’m only assuming all these mask regulations ,vaccination regulations are not about everyone’s safety. it’s more about government mandating rules. Because if it’s about safety then all who are able to get vaccinated should be vaccinated.  
 
either implement mandates for all or drop them for all how long do you want this to go on for.

Any responsible adult that is able would have got themselves vaccinated. Soon all employers will require staff to be vaccinated.

Except either mandate it for all or for no one if in fact this is about everyone’s safety.

I know that my mom had to show proof of my vaccinations (mumps, measles, etc.) when I started kindergarten in PUBLIC school. I don’t how how it works in private schools. Maybe the times have changed, as I don’t have children, but I also remember having to get consent from my mom for tetanus and other shots when I turned 15 (these shots were given to us during school hours, on school property). With that being said: I don’t think it’s unfair to expect the same kind of routine for any COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccines work. If you have religious reasons or any other personal beliefs, then maybe a private school is the option for you. Public schools are just that: PUBLIC. If the general PUBLIC has to abide by certain rules and regulations, then PUBLIC schools should have to as well.

The staff (all adults) are able to protect themselves by choosing to be vaccinated and wearing masks. I believe there are allowances for people who genuinely can't be vaccinated for medical reasons.  
 
There medical reasons are very few and far between. I thought I couldn't be vaccinated due to severe allergies, but it turned out I was wrong and was safely able to do so. The system bent over backwards accommodating me so I could do it safely. I encourage anyone who thinks they are excluded from being vaccinated to talk to their doctors and/or the staff down at the vaccine supersite. They were awesome to deal with.  
 
The students (all children) are not necessarily able to access or consent to vaccination for reasons discussed above. Ergo, they are currently not i:ncluded in this mandate for the purposes of accessing school.  
 
You should note that kids aged 12-17 must be vaccinated to be i:ncluded in pretty much every other activity, just like adults. School is the sole exception, from what I understand.  
 
This is not a case of "government mandating rules", it's literally about trying to return society to some semblance of normal in a fair and equitable manner.
