Does anyone know where you can get a PCR or antigen test that is required for international travel, the cost of the test and if the results come back within the 3 day time limit.  
Also to you need to make an appointment to get the test or can you do walk in?

Only place I have heard to get one in Brandon is Elite Safety Services and I think the cost was $350 plus GST. There was a thread about it on here a few weeks ago. I haven’t done it myself so I don’t know how long it takes to get results, but I have 3 hrs in my head. In other provinces Shoppers Drug’s were doing it for $150, but last I heard our stores weren’t doing it.

Elite Safety Services or Safety Chicks are the only 2 that I know of. Not sure which tests they offer.

$169 + tax and you need an appointment. Results take about 15 minutes.

Are you using? AC and Westjet both have "trusted partners" with links on their website to ensure you are getting the right tests. We are heading to Hawaii in a couple of days, and we had to link from the Westjet site to the trusted partner (which happens to be LifeLabs in BC and ON). From there, you pay for the test, and you are then directed to the safe locations to get the test done. In our case, it was a Shoppers Drug mart. We had our tests done last night and already my daughter has her negative test result., just waiting on the rest.  
 
Then that company just sends the link so you can easily show it to Westjet. My guess is the other airmiles have something similar. They want to make their check in processes as easy as possible too - it helps them to help you.  
 
I have heard horror stories of people thinking they were getting the right test only to be fined at the Canadian border because someone in the US sold them the wrong test. We are taking no cances.

Foxtrot - was that a Brandon Shoppers Drug Mart you had the test or where?

My daughter had to get a test for hockey. We went to the drive-thru site in Brandon. She did not have symptoms. They asked why she was there and we said hockey required it, so they checked off that it was for ‘surveillance’. Test was done at noon and we got a text message to say results were ready around supper time the following day. We did not have to pay.
