I just came home to find a no parking sign in front of my house. Says after 8am Thursday. It is the only sign on the block. Since it is the only sign, I assume we can park further back on the street, but does anybody know how far that must be?

Why would there be any repercussions? It’s private property. You need to stay in your own lane

You can't park multiple vehicles in your front yard. Private property or not, it's called a bylaw.

Turning your front lawn into a parking lot (or in my neighbour's case a junk yard) decreases the property value of the neighborhood. Someone must have called him in though and he must have been in breach of the by-laws as he received a visit and the junk was quickly removed.

Why only one sign was placed in front of your house (and neither do any posters here) I would call them and ask rather than guess.

maybe they our going to dig up street for a water pipe or waste pipe for neighbor or area
