This morning I drove into Brandon to go to the Pine and Apple market at the Keystone (which I had never been to before and never will go). When I got there at 10:30 am. I was asked for my VIP pass I said what VIP pass - well you need one to get in before 11:00. I never saw that anywhere and when I came in I saw a sign that said 10:00 to 4:00 pm. I am disgusted.

It shows on Facebook VIP shopping is 10-11AM for $20 and Regular Admission is 11-4pm for $5. So if you would of waited an hour you could of paid $5

I don’t have a Facebook account. I don’t want one. I would of been in the same position.

do these places expect you to spend money to look at things you might purchase. Not like the CO-OP or Sobeys etc. charge you to get in to buy things.  
Sorry, but whenever there is an admission charge for me to spend my money I walk away.

How did you hear about it? Honestly, half an hour doesn't seem worth throwing a little fit over.

I do not like your fit comment. For your information I saw it advertised above the doors at the Keystone with the times. It was an inconvenience and a waste of my time - why would I hang around to wait to get in.

You were likely to have to wait anyways. They were recommending you book a time slot to arrive because of covid restrictions and capacity limits, and it sounds like the ones earlier in the day were booked up.

Come check out the Dome Building sale next Friday and Saturday instead.  
Friday 4-9 and Saturday 10-4.  
 
The $2 at the door goes to a charity I believe and no VIP pass needed.

Just curious about the VIP status and this market. So what special offers do the VIP receive after paying four times the admission fee that the peasants, lol, pay?  
Talk about dividing the population, is that all it's about now a days? If I have to pay for times admission then I would rather not be a VIP!

The poster should have included the information regarding VIP admission. That’s on the organization that made the posters. Maybe in the future they could add that information.  
 
I do not use Facebook either so I too would have gone by the wording on the poster.  
 
Nor would I have known they were booking appointments slots and that they were already filled days before For all the early slots -As stated I’m Jim3030 post.

I am curious to know from those that actually went - how many vendors are actually local - as in Brandon and area? The links of some I clicked on were not local.

There were signs all down through 18th saying 10am-4pm. No mention of VIP or a cost for entry. I too would have been annoyed to find that out had I gone. That is bad on the organizers. I totally agree with OP.

I really enjoyed it and thought it was well organized. The set up was really nice and all the vendors were very friendly. Hope to see more events like this one! Unfortunately you just can't please everyone and there will always be naysayers.
