Phone Scam again

This time they are telling me that my social insurance card has been used illegally and then I am a wanted criminal and I’m going to be arrested. There’s a warrant out for my arrest. It came up as a Brandon phone number and when I tried to call it back it said the number is not assigned. Anyone else had this one?

I've been getting so many Brandon phone numbera call me lately. I just decline...and block the number. Hope nobody falls for anything. Times are tough enough without all this extra crap going on..

They are working on a fix, but its not going to stop them 100% hopefully it helps though.

I answered the last scam caller that phoned me and spent 25 minutes pretending I couldn't hear him, when he realized I was messing with him he started cursing and swearing at me then hung up.

Was a fun 25 minutes!

Gets annoying when you get 2-3 spam calls a day though.

Had been getting lots of these calls recently new phone has auto screen function where google assistant answers the call lets me know who and what they want are on the other end near feature everytime since using it the call ends quickly

I’ve been called twice by local 720-**** numbers going on about my sin number and getting arrested lol. It gave me a good laugh the first time but they used a different number the next time after I blocked the first one

My one yesterday was the local number and the whole SIN thing. The one before that was an Ontario number claiming to be at the border at Niagara where some type of package addressed to me had been intercepted. Naturally since the box had my name and address on it, a warrant was issued for me. Funny that in a week or so they still haven’t tried… ringing my home doorbell at the address clearly listed on the package?

Still waiting for my pick up too.
Every day the past week SIN and drug trafficking at the border.
Sure hope Santa hasn’t caught wind of this and put me on the “ naughty” list!!

I did not look up the second number. Blocked both. Just wondering if I should give this information to the police?? "
The police told me to give all the information to the Canadian anti fraud centre which I did.You will likely not hear back from them though. They collate information from everyone to help try to catch this scum.

Never answer phone

Hang up as soon as you answer a phone call if there is silence.

Don’t engage at all.

My home phone tells me who is calling so I don’t answer if it is a scam.

My cellphone only rings if caller is on my list.

Never call back anyone if no message. If real there would be a message.

This goes for emails too. Delete all from people you don’t know. Companies and government too unless you were expecting one.

Never click on a link.

Stay safe.

I’ve had 2 calls from “canada border services”in the past week. They have seized packages with my name on them. They contain illegal substances. Two warrants have been issued for my arrest. One call was a local #, the other was from Victoria. I did not press #1 to speak to an agent; so far the RCMP have not arrived to arrest me.
