I would like to send out a big shout out to our city’s snow removal crew. Late in the evening a sand truck driver took time to park, come up and knock on my door, and kindly let us know they were going to be doing snow removal.  
My tenants car was parked on the side street they were going to ckear. His car would have been towed.  
Super big thank you to the driver who took time and did it with a smile.  
Great work! Above and beyond! Sorry we missed the sign.

And now if they can clear those hard to see intersections with snow at the ends of street corners....

Snow routes are posted and car should not have been there.  
 
Did he know you? Funny he found the right house.  
 
If found he could have been suspended and if it has happened in past may eventually lose his job  
 
Snow removal and sanding has to get down smoothly and quickly that is why rules for parking have to be enforced.  
 
Nice you didn’t get towed away but slowly down the process may have left others with their roads not done.  
 
You know the rules so follow them.

I live on a snow clearing route so I park my vehicle on the side street. They cleared the snow on the side street with no notice. So this could be possibly what happened for the op. I will say though they did a nice job not leaving to much of a ridge around my vehicle. At the same time I do understand why they would have a rule against stopping production to alert vehicle owners.
