During the night, someone broke into my partners car. The door was unlocked but that doesn't excuse the fact that someone stole a knife and some boots. Happened close to Brandon Gymnastics. Just giving everyone a warning and to not leave valuables in your vehicle

With doors left unlocked at least they didn't break a window. Many reports of that on Winnipeg news. Damned if you lock doors and damned if you don't. Just a lot of disrespect for others. Hopefully they didn't do any damage.  
 
Gas theft will be the next thing to watch for.

I leave razor blades mixed in my change cup in the car, sure hope they don't ever steal my change

and leave money in the 'cash tray' console.  
Most petty thieves are looking for some change for smokes, or to apply to some next fix.  
Once in a while someone rifles thru my glove box, but never had a broken window and they always close to the door.  
 
Now I have a battery motion detector I bought online. It's discreet inside the door panel pouch. I have programmed and recorded onto it using SD card. This one has a warning message, and a countdown - saying " You have five seconds to exit the vehicle! 4.....3......2......1...."  
If they are still around, a red alert siren goes off then fades out in five seconds. It can mainly only be heard inside the car, but is clear and loud.  
 
Since then, have never seen cash missing from the tray.

Last night (Monday) near Massey school with our vehicle. We usually leave nothing in it so the BASTARD took my wife's sunglasses out of her overhead cubby and snapped off the temples (arms) then placed the frame back in its place and left with them. I guess we need to start in always leaving them a tip when they "clean out the car" ...or they get miffed. I really do hope their lives remain, forever, the sad pathetic waste of space as they continue on being the lazy scavenger that seeks out unethical opportunities & picking through our cast-offs like vermin trying to survive from moment to moment. Only having their moments of artificial bliss and joy from the poison that shortens their lives, ever more. This thought gives me my inner peace and balance not to be too terribly upset about what happened.  
 
Oh well, l suppose we'll need to go through the rack, again, at the co-op gas bar to get another pair for twenty bucks.  
 
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
